Wrote a not-so-ubiquitous Eichler renovation in Palo Alto and the new wave of California landscape design for Elle Decor, plus a short history of the powder room. Doled out design advice for the New York Times. Spilled the beans on my wedding registry, practical advice for baby stuff, the best flatware, and the popularity of quilts for The Strategist. Researched and wrote the essay accompanying Alexander Girard’s posthumous AIGA Gold Medal. Took a zillion photos of terrazzo. Created a Hot Pots calendar with my friends at Fuzzco. Authored a very unpopular weekend art column on Gawker. Filed travel stories from Kamakura, Japan, and Panama City. Made a zine with some pals from the American Design Club. Wrote front-of-book stories for I.D. magazine (RIP). Reported on the textile recycling industry. Helped fill the coffers of Fast Co.Design, pre-launch. Served as deputy editor of Flavorwire and introduced the world to Lady Gaga's architectural significance.
